Speed Reading Certification?
I see a few people online saying that they are “certified speed reading experts” as if that’s supposed to mean something. Let’s discuss –
First and foremost, there is no such thing as a certification for a skill like speed reading. There is no one, single entity controlling the knowledge of using these techniques, and what’s more, speed reading is not a profession. I can understand the need for having certified teachers, doctors, judges and maybe even lawyers, but speed readers? No, I don’t think so.
In addition, you never have to take and pass a speed reading test or exam to get your certification.
If you see any courses, programs, or experts claiming to have, or to offer a certification in speed reading, please do yourself a favor and avoid them. At best, they’re delusional to think that such a thing exists. At worst, they’re lying in an attempt to get your money.
