What We Believe About Speed Reading
We believe that speed reading is an essential skill that everyone should take the time to practice and learn. Everything we have provided on this site is absolutely free, but it still costs us money everyday to bring you all of this information (of course, 3rd party things like the speed reading software will still cost you).
But never fear! We’re here to give you an education, and an education about speed reading in particular. This is one of the most important skills you can get, and the sooner you get it, the better off you will be.
About Speed Reading and My Life
I learned how to speed read from a relatively early age – I got my first book about speed reading when I was just twelve. I was an avid reader of all sorts of the best classic novels, from Dickens to Jack London, and everything in between. The biggest problem with this, for me, was that all of a sudden I wasn’t reading as many books as I thought I could. These were much thicker, and much wordier than what I had previously enjoyed.
And that’s when I started learning about speed reading. And yes, I did use it on novels for pleasure at first, although I now definitely recognize that this is not what speed reading is about.
Today, I’m a teacher, working with underprivileged youths, and I try to instill the lessons I’ve learned about speed reading, and I try to help them recognize how important learning how to read is.
